I called SOA to ask if I could send them pics so they could compare to a correct install, but Customer Service isn't parts/installation-oriented and could only refer me to the PDF of the install directions. The sticky clips (L in the instructions) are screwed into the deflector, but just sitting on top of the hood and not permanently affixed (stuck) to the hood. Nothing is holding the deflector to the hood in the middle, or between the ends and the middle. On my vehicle, the deflector seems to only be attached to the car on the sides (ends) (with clips M and N in the instructions). Have looked at the installation directions online from Subaru OEMDTC's website. However, I want to make sure I understand what the fix is, before I drop it off. For the record, they are very agreeable to me bringing the vehicle back to fix it. However, I don't think they did it correctly (and even they admitted that the install was tricky). (I had a hood deflector on my 2007 impreza that never had this problem.) A friend's shop did the install (not Subaru dealer). The deflector is visibly vibrating and shaking when I drive. Looking for some technical assistance with installation of the hood deflector on my 2018 Forester.
